CMM automates the journaling process for crypto traders by using read-only API keys for their exchange accounts to share data from their exchange account to their CMM journal dashboard. Trades are streamed to CMM user dashboards in real time via crypto exchange APIs so traders can log, analyze and notate their trading history and portfolio performance.

Every futures trade can include multiple buy and sell executions. CMM compiles these individual orders into a clean amalgamated trade history. Every instance of this activity in a user’s trading history is called a “Leg.” Each “Leg” will display the symbol traded, the average open price, the average exit price, the trade duration, and the realized profit or loss.

CMM cannot access account funds or exchange login information of users at any time. Using read-only API keys allows users to give CMM permission to feed trading history data from a user’s exchange account to their CMM dashboard. Once a new exchange account is created using a CMM Unlocked referral link, generate a read-only API key for the new exchange account. Use the read-only keys to connect the exchange account to the CMM account under the API Manager in the CMM dashboard. CMM will then automatically recognise the referred exchange account, and the CMM user account will be upgraded to Unlocked for free access.

After connecting a new exchange account to the CMM dashboard through the API Manager, please confirm that the referred exchange account is selected. Users should note that Unlocked access only applies to referred exchange accounts. Any non-referred exchange accounts connected to a CMM dashboard will not have full CMM feature access. Traders can create an infinite amount of Unlocked accounts. CMM automatically gives users +1 exchange slots for every referred account identified in a user's API manager. So, technically, a trader can connect an infinite amount of referred accounts using Unlocked.

If an exchange account connected through Unlocked is not yet upgraded, please make sure to select the referred exchange account. Note that Unlocked free access extends only to referred accounts.
